Over the past five years, it’s been my honor to host a growing Facebook community dedicated to providing cross-colleague support for a special group of clinicians living with chronic health conditions. As the moderator, I’m consistently touched by the level of collegiality mixed with authentic, heartfelt care that the members of this group offer one another.

It can feel heartening to connect with other therapists who understand the unique challenges of planning a future for their businesses when most of us don’t know what the future of our health will bring. And when it comes to navigating health symptoms while providing quality care for our clients, it’s a relief to have space where we can exchange stories, tips, and an empathetic, “I’ve been there!” with others who truly get it.

The group, called “Abundant Living for therapists with chronic illness & health challenges,” has now grown to over one thousand members, and it’s time for us to convene in real time! To my knowledge, this is the first-ever conference for therapists with health challenges. And my hope is that it will be the first of many.

Virtual Conference
April 8-10, 2022

This conference provides opportunities for therapists to expand their clinical knowledge, deepen self-care, and connect socially with other therapists who live with chronic illness and health challenges.

Our focus throughout the 2.5 day live-streamed conference will be on the whole therapist: mind, body and spirit. We know that our personal fulfillment directly impacts the work we do.
