Healing Sound Bath

EVENT OVERVIEW

This live, hour-long music and sound immersion is designed to provide you time and space for relaxation, ease, and connection with an intention of your choice.

To prepare, make sure your devices are silenced, and that you’re using good speakers or headphones to receive the full benefits of the sound bath. It is recommended that you lie down or find another position that allows full body relaxation. Bring a few pillows (for under your head and under your knees), and an eye pillow or mask if you’d like. You can also light a candle or burn some incense or sage to make a ritual out of this time together.

Healing through sound has been used to increase wellness, treat pain, restore the nervous system, and release trauma, amongst other ailments, for centuries.

Music therapy is deeply rooted in neurology and psychology. The practitioner uses elements of music (frequencies, tone, volume, rhythm, skill, emotion) to improve emotional and social development, cognitive and motor functioning, and psychological health.

During deep sound bath meditation, slower frequencies are used, activating slower brainwave action, such as Alpha, Theta and Delta waves. This results in states of deep relaxation, flow states, improved meditation, high levels of creativity, lucid dreaming, and increase in memory, to name a few.
